Wednesday brought the Open API Economy meetup group to Box HQ, and with it a fantastic group of attendees hailing from companies like Netflix, Oracle, IBM, and Prezi. The speakers were also top notch, of course. First up was hacker-turned-consultant Ben Metcalfe, who explained how to create a successful Enterprise-grade API from the ground up. Next was own Jeremy Glassenberg (yes, again!), who taught us how to take an Enterprise API and scale it up. Finally, Tyler Hannan, a man with a voice so booming I had to turn the speakers down, spoke on the “bipolar” nature of messaging around a platform and how it must be different things to different people.
